“sleek” Shines at the Judi Rotenberg Gallery

Martin Cooper from Burberry, Inc. isn’t just selling those ubiquitous plaid bags. (That’s his day job.) He has his photo works on display: Five large black and white photographs of nudes titled, wrestler, shot put, archer, swimmer and relay runner, they emphasize the strength of women without the protection of armor. Called Portraits of the Immortals, it’s a statement about the fact that women were not always allowed to participate in the Olympics. Large works, they are uniquely toned gelatin silver prints from Polaroid negative editions.
